The Forum is organized by the University of Eastern Finland and the Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The main venue of the forum is located at the Kuopio Campus of the University of Eastern Finland. Kuopio is situated in central Finland, in the verdant province of North Savo, which is interspersed with thousands of lakes. Kuopio can be reached in less than an hour by air from Helsinki, the capital of Finland, and by road or rail the journey takes some four-five hours. There is also a train connection from Turku harbor. The Forum programme will be videoconferenced from the Kuopio Campus to various partners.
