ISCN-GULF Conference 2011

Gothenburg University is host for the ISCN conference which will be held at the School for Business, Economics and Law
Pathways to Progress: Demonstrating Campus Sustainability

Sharing best practices on building performance, campus-wide target setting, and “living laboratories” for sustainability.

Colleges and universities play a fundamental role in shaping tomorrow’s leaders, driving sustainable innovation, and acting as living laboratories for sustainable development and operation. As sustainability programs become more sophisticated, there is an urgent need for a unified approach for sharing experiences, including measuring and reporting performance.

The 2011 ISCN Conference will explore the full breadth of campus sustainability topics covered by ISCN Working Groups – performance of individual buildings, campus-wide planning and target setting, and the integration of research, education and facilities. It will build from the momentum of the first-ever ISCN-GULF Sustainable Campus Charter reporting season, in which leading universities disclosed their progress at the World Economic Forum this past January. And it will feature the presentation of the 2011 ISCN Sustainable Campus Awards.

This conference will be hosted by the University of Gothenburg, and is jointly organized with the International Sustainable Campus Network. More detailed information about the conference program will be forthcoming.
