EUROTOWNS is a medium sized cities network established in 1991. Nowadays, it is composed by over 20 European cities and their members share a real interest in promoting the social and economic sustainable development. Its main aim is to become the reference network for medium-sized cities (with 50.000 to 250.000 inhabitants). This 2011 network celebrates the 20th anniversary (1991-2011).

The mission of EUROTOWNS is to develop a network of vibrant, socially inclusive and sustainable medium sized European cities, which act as a catalyst for urban innovation, creativity and renewal.

EUROTOWNS provides a platform for its member cities to share knowledge and ideas, to exchange experiences, to analyse common problems and develop innovative solutions, through a wide range of forums, working groups, projects, activities and events.
