This conference aims at promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Higher Education, supporting the core mission and goals for the UN-Decade for ESD (2005-20014)

Higher education is (beside the role of professional research and learning outcome within each field of expertice) - also expected to promote skills and tools for intercultural/ interdisciplinary understanding, social responsibility and abilities to take professional and personal actions for SUSTAINABILITY; interconnecting environmental, socio-cultural and economic perspectives in order to create a more sustainable future

The main focus for the conference is to analyze these challenges and discuss new ways of actions.
