Apply for the SAIL 2012 course

SAIL 2012This year the SAIL (Sustainability Applied in International Learning) course is organised as an international course at Uppsala University during the autumn semester 2012. The course will take place on board the Polish sailing ship STS Fryderyk Chopin. But applications to the SAIL course will be through the Swedish web site for university admissions Antagning.se  This site is now open for applications for the autumn semester, however, it is in Swedish only. If your Swedish is a little rusty you may download instructions in English on how to apply doc for the SAIL course.

Teachers Conference: Economic Problems of Sustainable Development

Sumy State University Faculty of EconomicsThe International scientific-practical conference “Economic problems of sustainable development” at Sumy State University (SSU), is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Economics and Management Faculty scientific activities. The conference will take place 4 - 5th April 2012 in Sumy, Ukraine.

The intended target groups for the conference are scientists, lecturers of Institutions of higher education, graduates, representatives of the business-structures, interested in the topics of the conference. The languages of the conference are English, Russian, Ukrainian.

Peoples of the Baltic, Regional Development, and the Baltic Sea Region
2 - 6 September  2011
Gniezno, Poland

This conference will be a common undertaking of the BUP secretariat, Collegium Europaeum Gnesnense, filial of Adam Mickiewicz University, in Gniezno, Poland, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, and University of Economics in Poznan.

All BUP teachers of the Peoples of the Baltic, Regional Development, or any other courses related to the topic are welcome to apply for participation. At the conference we will have the possibility to welcome 45 of teachers which means that every country in the network may send about 4 teachers.

BUP Research Seminar

Baltic University ProgrammeHAW Hamburg is hosting in Hamburg the "BUP Research Seminar" on the 25th-26th May 2011. The aims of the Seminar are:

  1. to identify research areas where BUP Universities have strong expertise and are able to compete in attracting EU and international funding;
  2. to cluster the expertise in thematic areas, with a view to forming powerful and attractive Consortia to bid for project funding;
  3. to agree on a workplan with future calls for projects, where BUP universities can take part.
