Summer Course on Sustainability, River Basin Management and Climate Change in the Baltic Sea

The Summer Course is an initiative of the German office of the Baltic University Programme in Hamburg and is organized in cooperation with the Interreg IVB Baltic Sea Region project WATERPRAXIS. It is meant to acquaint delegates from various countries about matters related to sustainable development, river basin management and climate issues in the Baltic, as well as foster international and multicultural learning. The course will offer a state-of-the-art overview of matters related to sustainable development and river basin management and will be a timely contribution towards efforts in the internationalisation, networking and cultural interaction among local government officials, practitioners and students from Baltic countries.

SAIL 2011

SAIL - Sustainability Applied in International Learning
11 - 28 August, 2011

Halmstad/Sweden – Rønne/Danmark – Karlshamn/Sweden – Tallinn/Estonia – Turku/Finland

The SAIL course is registered as a summer course at Uppsala University, Sweden. Students who fulfill the requirements and pass the course will receive 7.5 ECTS credit points from Uppsala University.

Sustainable Water Management - Distance Course

Sustainable Water Management, a master level course in the Baltic University Programme offered by Uppsala University as a distance course on the Internet. The course is open for all English speaking students with a background of at least one year of environmental science studies (i.e., earth science, agriculture, forestry etc).

Challenges of Sustainable Development

An intensive course on "Challenges of Sustainable Development" will be organized by the Sendzimir Foundation and BUP in the cooperation with several universities and institutions 4 - 25 July 2010.
